The shifty Kiwi is the son of Harchester team manager, Patrick Doyle. He is a very intelligent and wise agent, although proves to be quite mischievous during his brief stay in Harchester. He is very charming and cunning, however he doesn't care about walking over people to get what he wants - self-prosperity is more important to him than the well being of others. Taylor grew up in New Zealand after the separation of his mother and father.
Taylor creates a stir and an uproar on his arrival in Harchester with his father in 2002 as part of a promotional video for his father he unintentionally catches an altercation between Andrei Balanov and Monday Bandele, however Lynda helps to contain the story only for the Ukrainian to let it out to the press. This is the catalyst to Belanov's move away from the Dragons although Andrei's agent Jeff Stein arranges a move to Parma but the shifty kiwi intervenes and has the Ukrainian moving to AC Monaco instead - an 'agent war' begins!
When Harchester's golden boy Danny Rawsthorne is called up for England's under21s Jeff presents him with a coveted England jersey only for Doyle to ruin the chances again by informing Danny that an opportunity to play in the World Cup awaits, with Ireland! Taylor Doyle is busy getting his hooks further into Danny Rawsthorne. Danny exhausted by his playing and training schedule and the number of commercial activities agent Jeff Stein has set up since his Ireland debut takes Taylor's advice and skips a photo shoot for a sports car company. Jeff's daughter, Tash is furious and begins to wonder what exactly is he up to? Taylor gets on the bad side of the Stein family once again when he beats them to the punch for new Harchester youth graduate Robbie Walsh. Later, when it emerges that Danny isn't actually Irish he covers up the revelations as he was the man who convinced the Englishman into playing for another country - Taylor later uses this to black-mail Danny into signing for Athletico Madrid in order for him to earn a hefty agent's fee. Sadly Danny dies before the transfer or the revelations can be made public and strangely Taylor leaves Harchester for good.
