A glamour model from Leigh-on-Sea, Tash is the daughter of one of the leader football agents, Jeff Stein and on the A-list of celebrity invite lists. Introduced to Jamie while he was playing for Chelsea in London, they enjoyed a whirlwind romance and got married shortly afterwards. Tash takes every opportunity to return to London to enjoy the high-life but for how long can she continue to travel from the Midlands and live away from her friends and contacts in the south of England?

Tash's first season at Harchester was a difficult one. Not only did people perceive her as a spoilt, vacuous blonde, but husband Jamie caused her no end of difficulties. Firstly, his transfer moved her away from her friends and regular lifestyle from London to Harchester, which seemed something of a backwater. Then Jamie had an affair, for which she did forgive him, but not before she threatened divorce. Jamie's gambling also got out of hand, leading to many of their possession to be repossessed. She stuck by him through all this though and helped him pay back his debts and re- establish himself in the team. She was also instrumental in getting Monday Bandele a work permit by persuading Siobhan to marry him.

The following season was equally eventful. After turning her hand to working as an agent, the now ex model refused Jamie's demands for a baby, only for him to go out and buy one, causing further scandal. Then Jamie became involved with Victoria, started gambling again and involved Tash in the whole Fletch business. She turned to Monday for support and ended up sleeping with him. When she fell pregnant, she was unsure over who was the father, only for it to turn out to be Jamie's baby after all. However, as she went in labour, Jamie was on the ill- fated Harchester coach which crashed.

Jamie did survive the crash, but had to stay in hospital. While there, Tash begun an affair with Jamie's team- mate Robbie Walsh. When Jamie left for L.A., Tash was devastated. She tried to end her affair with Robbie while Jamie was away, but Jamie returned nearly to find them together. Jamie did find out about the affair with Robbie, and after his initial anger did start to forgive her. However, it was revealed he had an affair himself when an American tennis player named Shannon showed up at the Barrons. Tash was furious with this, going back to Robbie. However, her and Robbie weren't to last, with him moving to Brighton and her unable to leave Harchester. By this stage, divorce proceedings with Jamie had begun. They did start to patch things up, only for Jamie to ruin everything again and Tash to take off to London with Hope. This, combined with Patrick blackmailing him, helped to send Jamie over the edge. Taking his team- mates hostage in the Harchester dressing room, only Tash was able to talk him around. Unfortunately, he was gunned down by police and died. Soon after Tash left for holiday in American where she was believed to have hooked up with a rich Texan.

She returned the following year in a limousine, looking glamorous and much to Nikki's annoyance. Tash says it is just a flying visit but later the truth comes out and it turns out that she and her oil billionaire boyfriend have been separated for some time. Jeff senses that she is not over Jamie and decides to give her a home and a job with her and Nikki. After a tv documentary films at Harchester to re- create the events leading to Jamie's death, Tash overhears Abi and Stuart arguing in the changing room over Stuart attempting to throw the Chelsea game earlier in the season and her suspicions are only confirmed after seeing Viv's recent mistakes and erratic behaviour. Later Abi accompanies Tash to the cemetery to visit Jamie's grave where Abi, unable to go along with her lies and seeing how it is affecting Tash – comes clean and tells Tash that she wasn't imagining what happened in the changing room. Furious with Abi, Tash makes a dash for the ground and makes it back as the team are going into the changing room after the first half. She pulls Viv aside and swears on her baby's life that it is true, setting in motion a chain of events that would ultimately lead to Harchester being relegated for match fixing.
