Danny Sullivan has been with Harchester for over 5 years now, which makes him Harchester's longest serving player. Danny is sensible, wise and dependable. He is always there lending a helping hand or a shoulder for his team mates to cry on.
At the start of the 2005/06 season, Danny faces his toughest season after losing all of his team mates at the end of last season, that not long after becoming a parent to twins. Danny has been though some life changing events recently, will this effect his form on the pitch? This season was never going to be easy for the Skipper after the trauma of the play off final which are still fresh in the memories of himself and his surviving teammates Ryan and Tyson. The season starts with a memorial where Danny gives a heart wrenching speech which is rudely interrupted by the Fiery tension between the new signings the Rose brothers. Always the family man and nothing like the usual playboy footballers, you would never expect Danny Sullivan to play away from home so to speak, But his affair with club secretry Amy Kerrigan is rumbled by Chloe MacKay and made public which looks very bad on Amy and Dannys wife leaves him and doesnt let him see the twins. Danny takes this very badly and it affects his mental state and his football, Under the new brief regieme of Lawrie Hannigan and Vincent Burns Danny is temporarily stipped of his captaincy as he hits a new low telling them to "stick it".
At a time when Danny needs his friends the most they come to his aid, Tyson and Ryan talk to Amy and get her to talk to Danny and the two sort things out and become official letting Danny concentrate on his football. After guiding his team to the League Cup Final and an emotional return to The Millenium Staidum, Danny captains the team into a tough final against a Chelsea side who are favourites, Disaster strikes as Sully himself scores an unfortunate own goal in the dying minutes to gift the game to Chelsea, No one blames Sully and they all embrace in the changing room showing how much team spirit there is. Only acheiving a mid table finish in the first season back in the premiership is overshadowed by 2 Cup Finals, Thats right Harchester reach the FA cup final and the night before, none of the players can sleep so they start playing table tennis in the early hours of the morning, Confident in his own ability Sully puts his armband on the line to the winner, Sully loses but he doesnt mind as later on that afternoon his friend Tyson nets the winner and Sully lifts the FA Cup high above his head, This is for everyone who couldnt be there.
Danny sadly reaches the end of his career as a footballer as he suffers an injury to his knee whilst on loan to Southend. Danny blames Jimmy Craig for sending him to Southend in the first place, and when Jimmy stops Danny from getting a "quick fix" operation on his knee, Danny only has one thing on his mind... revenge! Danny causes disruptions between the team by secretly posting the teams secrets onto the clubs website and forum. Known as "Dragonslayer", Danny is always one step ahead, always in the right place at the right time to discover the latest inside gossip and scandal. When Harchester make it to the final game of the season where a win against Chelsea will see then win the league, Danny decides enough is enough and he will stop Jimmy taking credit for the teams success at any price. Whilst the final match of the season is under weigh Danny places tanks of petrol all around the club with a plan that will endanger the lives of tens of thousands of fans! Danny has a fight with Jimmy and pushes him down a stairwell at the club and soaks him in petrol. About to set him alight, Amy finds them in just enough time to convince Danny out of finishing them all off! Jimmy survives the fall, but will he keep what's just happened a secret or will he hand Danny over to the police? And how will Danny cope with a future without football and Harchester United?
