When Luis Amor Rodriguez approached Ray Wyatt about joining Harchester in a coaching capacity, Ray initially spurned Luis's advances as he didn't want to leave behind his loving and kind hearted wife Kitty and the idyllic lifestyle he was leading on their farm in Devon. However, Kitty persuades Ray to give it a go and ultimately this proves a successful move with Ray later replacing Luis as manager, guiding the team to the quarter finals of the UEFA Cup and to Premiership safety. However. during the season some revelations emerge about Kitty's past when Gordon Gallagher tells the press about Kitty having worked as a prostitute back in Thailand.

The following season, Kitty decides to move into the Barrons in Harchester to live with her husband and son while he manages the club. While living in Harchester she becomes friends with some of her fellow Harchester wives, particularly Lizzie Conlon. At the charity event "Harchester Uncovered" Kitty shows Lizzie understanding and sympathy at not wanting to get on stage. While Lizzie ultimately refuses to go on stage herself, Kitty wows the audience despite her own reservations. Not long after Kitty has to leave Harchester temporarily to be at the bedside of her sick father. While Kitty is away, the lonely souls Ray and Lynda have an affair. When Kitty returns suddenly, to Ray's surprise she instantly knows that something is wrong. Ray ends up telling Kitty that Lynda is pregnant with his child. Kitty does not take this news well and takes their son, walking out on Ray. Looking more a tiger than a kitty, she confronts Lynda. With Lynda's relationship with Ray now seemingly over, Lynda still wants to keep their baby. Kitty tells Ray that she won't take him back so long as he works with Lynda - so Ray has a choice: the club or Kitty, football or family.

Kitty's paranoia over Lynda and Ray continues. When Lynda nearly faints due to the stress and falls into the arms of Ray, this is witnessed by Kitty, who was asked by Lynda to see Ray. Kitty is convinced that Ray still carries a torch for Lynda. After seeing Lynda and Ray together, Kitty decides to go back to Thailand. When Ray finds out he takes their son and hides away in the Harchester dressing room. Kitty gets worried and eventually tells Ray that she will stay in Harchester. After moving back in and telling him that she does not want a divorce she says that they must take their reconciliation one day at a time and she still wants him to leave Harchester. After bringing Lynda home from the hospital much to the heart break of Kitty, Ray realises what pain he has caused his wife and decides that they must leave Harchester straight away. However, eventually Kitty convinces Ray to see out the final game of the season. After beating West Ham and securing third place in the Premiership and entry into the qualifying rounds of the Champions League, Ray and Kitty leave Harchester.
