Age 35, Joining the league of high-earners in the City at the tender age of 16, Prashant made his first million in the Futures Exchange by the time he was 24. After a spectacular bust-up with his partners, primarily because of his 'one step ahead of the law' approach to business, he went solo in 1996, focusing his attention on the potential massive returns of football club ownership. Feared by Board members and fans alike, Prashant is not afraid to asset-strip any investment if the need arises. Described by ex-colleagues as 'a shark, feeding on the flesh of failure', Harchester United will need to keep their wits about them with this predator in their ranks.
Marilyn Harwood bumpred into her old flame Prash at the airport. She had asked him to come to Harchester and try to take control of the club. Prash looks at the club and starts to arrange meetings with board members in view of buying their shares. Marilyn introduces him to Jerry and he is not impressed that she has gone behind is back. Prashant gains a large percent of the shares in Harchester United, Jerry realises that Marilyn is working with him behind his back, and so fires her. Prashant Dattani and Marilyn meet up with Lynda to buy her shares off her. Marilyn tries to convince Lynda to accept 1 million pounds for her shares, but when she demands 5 million from Prash, Prash gets angry with Marilyn and tells her he no longer wants her involved in Harchester.
When Lynda becomes owner she asks Prash to borrow some money to bring back Fletch. Lynda and Luis agree to stay on at the club until the end of the season, much to Prash's disappointment who is still looking to buy Lynda's shares. Prash tries to make a deal with Lynda over her shares, but after DI Dawson comes to the club to talk with Lynda, she loses out on the deal. Prash also tries to make a deal with Luis, if Luis convinces Lynda to sell her shares, Prash will get Luis a transfer out the club. Lynda refuses to sell her shares to Prash whilst there is a chance that Harchester will stay in the Premiership and so Prash calls off the deal between himself and Luis. Lynda finally comes to a conclusion over the club and tells Prash that she will only sell the club if Harchester are relegated. Prash introduces himself to Didier after he overhears Didier and Victoria fighting over money. Prash makes Didier an offer- if he plays badly and ensures Harchester are relegated, he will pay Didier the money to pay off Victoria, as only relegation will make Prash the owner of the club. Didier and Victoria have their final fight before Didier takes Prash up on his offer to get Harchester relegated so he can pay off Victoria.
Prash hands over the first half of the money to Didier who then gives it to Victoria. As the final game of the season is underway, Didier plays badly and Victoria is showing off her new expensive clothes. Towards the end of the game Harchester are drawing 2-2, Lynda realises that Prash has paid Didier to ensure the team are relegated. In a last minute attempt to save her team she tells Prash she will only sell the club if Harchester stay in the Premiership, As Didier steps up to take a last minute penalty, which if scored will keep them up, but if missed will see them playing First Division football next season, Prash tries to stop him from missing. Didier misses the penalty but Luis converts the rebound to keep the team up. Lynda goes back on her word and refuses to sell the club to Prash. However, when Victoria threatens to sell the story to the press, Prash tries to prevent her and they end up sleeping together, becoming partners and scheming to get the club.
After her run in with psycho fan Craig, Lynda is so low that she agrees to sell the club to Prash for £10 million. However, she ultimately changes her mind, rejecting Prash's offer leaving him embarrassed and furious. When Victoria hears about Ray and Lynda trying to sign Nigerian striker Monday Bandele, Prash goes public. He quotes Bandele as his signing. However after a failed medical test the signing does not take place, leaving Prash the victim of a press-witch hunt. Growing increasingly fed up in his pursuit of full control, Prash withdraws his guarantee for the 10 million pounds loan that Harchester have with the bank, leaving Lynda to find some collateral. She decides to use The Barrons, but Prash and Victoria put a stop to it when Victoria discovers that the houses could be built on Methane gas and causes a public outrage. Lynda still struggles on after this but Prash and Victoria cook up a deal to trick Fletch into helping them take control of the club and offer him the job as player / manager when Prash takes control. Prash also offers Victoria 3 million to sleep with Fletch to help keep him in hand.
The Club fails a safety inspection and will cost a large amount of money to fix, money that Lynda does not have. As Lynda searches for potential investors, Prash puts the club into administration, and tells Lynda that she will end up with nothing. The creditors accept Prash's offer to by the club and he becomes the new chairman. Prash blackmails Lynda and says he will tell the press about her and Ray's baby if she makes a last minute attempt to stop Prash from buying. He has the repairs to the North Stand done and fully operational again. Ray tells Prash that he will only stay at Harchester for the final two games of the season and then he will leave, but Prash asks Ray to stay. Fletch still thinks that he will become player / manager but Prash obviously has other ideas. Ray hands in his notice after a heated discussion with Prash. Prash makes Fletch player manager but makes it quite clear to Jeff that he is on the look out for a proper manager. Prash also dumps Victoria and tells her that he has no use for her anymore. She begs Prash to take her back but he shrugs her off and tells her that he wants her out of his life. Lynda buys tickets for the game but as soon as she gets into the club Prash tells her to leave. However, she hides away in the players lounge out of sight. Ray brings Fletch on at half time but is taken off again 5 minutes later as his mind is not on the game. He blames Prash for what has happened and after a heated discussion Prash tells Fletch that he can leave the club and does not care. Resentment builds against Prash, especially when Lynda finds out that he has sold the club on for 40 million pounds. After the match Lynda walks into the players lounge looking very shocked, Victoria is acting very strangely, Eddie finds Fletch with blood on his hands and Ray is also looking very worried, whilst Prash is found dead in his office- struck over the head with a trophy. Despite all the evidence pointing to the murderer being Karl Fletcher, it turns out that it was Lynda Block who had killed him.
