Sean Hocknell played by Daymon Britton

Sean is a cheeky, cocky, charismatic young Geordie with a penchant for gorgeous women. He is the younger brother of first team striker, Dean Hocknell, and at times Sean has found it hard to live up to the reputation and standards set by his brother. Risen up through the youth team with drive, ambition and talent, Sean made it in the first team.

Sean started off in Harchester's youth team in a season where he was single and enjoyed the life of having no responsibility. Practical jokes and having a good time with his close mates always took priority over his football. This made things hard for Sean who was always living in the shadow of his older brother Dean who had already made it into the first team. Frank Patcham (Youth Team Coach) was always comparing Sean's talent and attitude to that of Dean's. Eventually Sean bucked up his ideas and started putting more effort into his football. This didn't go un-noticed and sure enough he was awarded with a first team contract. Part of Sean's turn around and new look on life was due to his brothers fiancée, Natalie. Sean grew close to Natalie and fell in love with her. Initially this didn't lead anywhere but because of his feelings Sean matured.

At the start of the 1998/99 season Sean was an instant success in the first team and instantly struck up a great partnership on and off the pitch with Karl Fletcher. Not long after Sean's career took off, Natalie returned to England and confessed that she was in love with Sean. Sean still loved her, even though he knew it was wrong especially when he discovered that Natalie was pregnant with Dean's child. However the pair couldn't hold their feelings and they had an affair. It was however short lived as Natalie realised it could never work between them- she went back to live in Turkey with Dean.

A few months later and Sean found himself on a drunken weekend in Vagas with Warren's sister Mica where the pair got married. Sean came back to England and told his pal Fletch that he regretted what he had done. Just as he was about to tell Mica that he wanted a divorce news came through that Warren had died. Sean stuck by Mica, and eventually the pair made a go of their marriage for real and grew very fond of each other.

The happy couple didn't stay happy for long after Mica had made a drunken pass at Luis Amor Rodriguez during FA Cup Semi Final weekend in Liverpool. Luis threw Mica out of his hotel room but this was witnessed by Lynda, Jerry and Ian. To cover herself she accused Luis of attacking her. Sean stood by Mica and alienated himself from his team mates. Sean was made to feel a fool once evidence came to light proving that it was Mica who made a pass at Luis. Sean threw Mica out of the house and out of his life for good.

Only months later, Sean lost his best mate when Fletch decided to go and play for Real Mallorca in Spain. He found it difficult to link up with Fletch's replacement Scott Lucas on the pitch and the pair disliked each other off the pitch. Sean soon found form again and did link up well with Lucas for his final game in Amsterdam, because on the way back Sean was killed in a place crash along with Leon Richards and Julie Alexander.
