My Pitch

Dream Team was a British television series produced by Hewland International for Sky TV which aired on Sky1, Sky2 and Sky3 from October 1997 through till June 2007. The 10 year drama series focused the on-field and off-field affairs of the fictional Premiership football team, Harchester United FC, based in the Midlands.

The series was filed on location, first at Vicarage Road, home to Watford FC, and then from season 3 onwards, Millwall's stadium, The Den. Interior shots were filmed in a studio based in London. Dream Team used real football footage of premiership games using computer technology to change shirt colours into Harchester United's purple.

Dream Team launched the careers of many, including Alison King (Lynda Block), Terry Kiely (Karl Fletcher), Rob Kazinsky (Casper Rose) and Ricky Whittle (Ryan Naysmith) to name just a few, but most importantly provided over one million fans weekly with a taste of Premiership drama.
